Time has come
Yes, the time has come -- I hate to see this day, because I so love my Active Rain.
I have to take a few days off from AR -- I won't see you guys until after Christmas. I've been trying to do everything and it is catching up with me. I did take Saturday and Sunday off, but am still so far behind.
Saturday was spent doing a little shopping and then spent all day Sunday baking --this just got my pies made (pecan pies and magic pies).
I still need to bake a fruit cake, wrap all of my gifts, do grocery shopping and clean house -- and oh, yes, am still working -- doing goal setting, business plans, helping agent-owners, etc.
We will have 3 family gatherings at our home during the holidays -- our immediate family, my family and then Boyd's family -- the large family gatherings (not our immediate family) will be at least 25 -30 for each gathering.
Most importantly, I want to have everything cooked ahead of time, so that I can relax with the family gatherings and enjoy the families.
"The whole gray mare ain't what she used to be" is becoming more suitable for me every year.
My gift to each of you this holiday season --

gently unwrap the present and inside you will find "peace, good health, safety in your travels, good riddance 2009 and hello 2010."

Hello Liz, Enjoy the Holiday and your family! We all know that sometimes blogging does get in the way of family life so taking a little time off to get that long list completed looks like it will be a necessity! Merry Christmas to you!
I know what you mean Liz. We've been so busy lately with work, family and friends we're missing our AR family time! Barely have time to check in quickly. Have a Merry Christmas Liz and we'll all catch up after all the company and leftovers are gone.
Liz,
Taking time away, unplugging, and then returning may find you with fresh blogging fodder, so actually it's a good thing all the way around. Enjoy your time away and thank you for the gift of all of those great things you mentioned. Cheers and Happy Holidays to you and your family.
This Christmas slipped up on me pretty quick, but when my in laws pulled in the driveway this evening, I suddenly realized that we're almost there. Merry Christmas Liz!
Liz, Thanks for the sweet gift - right back at you! I hope you get your projects done so you can enjoy your family visits.
Hey, Liz. It is that time of year again. We are about to do the same thing. I hope that you and your family have the best Christmas ever, Jim
Liz - Enjoy the family. I can smell the cookies baking from here. We'll leave the light on here for you when you come back. Merry Christmas
Well have a very Merry Christmas and if you have any left over cookies, I can think of a place on the west coast that could help them disappear.

Liz - Always good to get away for a bit but I look forward to hearing about your Christmas. Have a great time with your family.
