Mama Liz's Blog: Mama Liz Says -- What Questions Are You Asking Your Sellers

I once asked a client about his pay off and he gave me a figure and we found out after the contract that he was quite off.  Now I ask to actually see... a statement or a printout from on line.  That client had to pay money at closing... simply because he didn't know what his payoff actually was.  It's important to ask the right questions.

Hi Mama Liz!  This is great stuff!  I don't think many agents ARE asking these questions and you're absolutely correct, they should NOT be listing if they're not!  Suggested baby!

 

Sometimes with the loan number though you need the last four digits of their social security number as well. Make sure you get that too.

Asking the right questions is crucial. The key is having clients that tell you the truth. A statement form the lender is the best way to know for sure. Great post!! Betina Foreman
