G-Mail is Awesome
I have been using gmail instead of email for several months now. It was very difficult to give up Microsoft Outlook, but I did and became a truly devoted google person.
The one thing that had bothered me about gmail was that one could not sync the contacts with your phone/blackberry.
They have just come out with the new addition--- we can now not only sync the calendar, but the contacts as well. Yeah!!!!!!

The most wonderful part of google to me (besides the fact that it is free) is the fact that you can do everything --- documents (like word), spreadsheets (like Excel),presentations (like Power Point) -- and everything is "real time".

I have used gmail for years and I love it!!
I use Gmail too, and am anxiously awaiting any contact management programs they might add to it.
I have not yet gotten into google, but many agents in the office use it and love it. The especially like the google docs for their deals. Will have to look into it and see whats up with it.
Jared --- thanks for stopping by.
Mike -- the way google is going, it won't be long. Are hving it sync your contacts to your phone?
I have never used Outlook -- I have tried but I ended up just forwarding my Outlook to Gmail. -- Now with the Calender & Documents feature makes it a One Stop Shop. I uploaded all of the major Real Estate Forms for NC to the docs section -- so if for some reason I can't get into Zip Forms I can still work. Plus it is alot easier to attach directly from a Google docs than to open yet another program. Keep It simple.
The Calender feature is easy too -- plus I can still send appointment links that are compatible with Outlook users. Google makes me look good too -- I can use any computer to access documents, email etc with out having to download or install anything. So many of the other real estate programs that claim to be web based are not really -- FREE IS THE BEST PART :)
Liz- I use Gmail and Yahoo and totally love it. I can pick it up from anywhere and best of all my address never changes regardless of ISP.
Yes, g-mail is terrific. And, you don't really need to give up Outlook. You can have your g-mail account forward to POP accounts and have it all.
Liz,
I was a gmail early adopter and I loved it from the start! It just keeps getting better and better!!
I started with gmail when it was "by invitation only" and I havent used anything else since
My latest "google trick" is to edit my photos with Picassa, and send them (properly re-sized) via gmail with one click.
Hey, Liz. I think Gmail is one of the better ones out there. Good to know that you can now do more. All my best, Jim
I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard Google is coming out with a feature where you can save documents online then send an e-mail with a link to download the files for those files that are too large to e-mail.
Jennifer ---- thanks for your input --- I just love all the features of Google --- sounds like you are utilizing all part of it also. One of the neatest things about the calendars is sharing. My husband and I share our individual calendars so we always know without making that phone call what the other one has going on.
Suesan --- thanks for your comment. I don't use Yahoo, so I am not familiar with that one. Do you like it as well as Google?
Gabe -- thanks --- my IT person told me that, but I have gotten so into g-mail and Google that I just don't go there anymore, especially now that we can sync contacts from gmail with my blackberry.'
Josh --- you are so right -- it just keeps getting better every day. Thanks for stopping by.
Ron --- I haven't gotten into Picasso yet --- I have heard that it is awesome. Thanks for your comments.
Jim --- see I did learn something in your classs this morning --- really,I learned a lot. You really did a great job. Another neat thing about Google is that they improve everyday.
Todd, I haven't heard about that one yet --- that will really be cool. I love reading about all the things that Google has in the works. Thanks for your comments.
